Few Problems With New PC

I Bought a new PC
core i7
asus p6t deluxe
6gb corsair dominator 1600mhz
gtx 275
haf 932
thermaltake 650 w
750gb hard drive
windows 7 64 bit

First how do optimize my Ram performance i set the DRam frequency to 1600MHZ what else i have to do i also set the dram bus voltage to 1.64 what else i have to do to run it at its full potential not overclocking it

And
When i play gta iv at full setings my Pc lags i play on a 19 inch philips screen using VGA port cause i still dont have a digital signal cable and my 1440x900 resolution the game lags a lot and my keyboard shows CPU performance around 30% and RAM around 50% how can make GTA IV work properly on my PC

GTA IV is a VERY demanding game on graphical resources; you're probably overloading what the GPU can actually handle. It's even worse than Crysis for requirements! Try turning some of the settings down.

That sucks, barney. I just read about how the GTX 275 was the best budget card overall. >_> What brand of the GTX 275 is it? There are different makers...

I mean, your system is more than capable enough of playing something like that. Maybe you should RMA your GPU and get a new one or an ATI Radeon 4890 or something. It might be defective.

Top Rated cards at Newegg.

Ok i can play GTA IV on Full esolution but I have to keep texture settings on low Which requires 381Mb of my GPU and the medium requires 480Mb/896Mb then also it lags but runs flawlessly on low texture settings so what can I do
My GPU brands is XFX

and at high setting it take 834 mb of 896 mb it shows there

and btw ati 4890 is almost as good as gtx 275 after overclocking the bottom line is GTX 275 is better than ati 4890 as it has more ROPs than 4890

Actually the 4890 is a better card after you get to overclocking, the architecture between ati and nvidia cards is different. At stock clocks they are about even, and then once you overclock the GDDR5 and the gpu core of the ati card it pulls ahead by a decent margin. theres not really anything you can do if your gpu is not capable of playing the game at high settings....

So there is no problem with my GPU or there is a problem
because it shows that my resource 834 mb is being used of 896 mb in my card in the options on high settings but it still lags can you tell me the reason

and well according to this article I went with GTX 275
http://www.techspot.com/review/164-radeon-4890-vs-geforce-gtx275/page11.html

but both overclocked which card is better

If the game lags, its either something that could be optimized in a driver update if it was a new game, but it isnt. There is no problem with your card, if it lags then turn down the settings, thats all there is to it.

ok check this out
http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-275-overclock-guide/2

This guys max FPS in a furmark test for gtx 275 is 429
and mine max FPS is 366
and my max temp goes upto 87 degree C
Please can you explain this much difference in FPS

and while running RIVAtuner it doesnt detect any driver settings like shown in the pic from the link above

Where the field says Driver Setting - Forceware Detected
on my PC it doesnt detect the driver but i installed the latest nvidia driver yesterday itself and i can access the nvidia control panel what does it mean

Try using evga precision and setting fanspeed to 100%, card could be overheating and causing lagging.... The FPS cannot be directly compared as for all you know the reviewer couild be running an overclocked cpu.

But is 366 Max a normal FPS or is it below normal standards
Ok i will try that and what about the driver settings I dont get that part why does rivatuner doesnt detect a driver when i installed the nvidia drivers do i have to install other drivers also

ok i installed precision evga and set the fan speed to 100 and can i also overclock using that and thankks very much its making a lot of noise though i dont mind the fan noise

And now most importantly I dont get the driver detection problem why doesnt the rivatuner detect my GPU even dxdiag detects it why rivatuner doesnt

the 185.55 drivers brick rivatuner, google 185.55 rivatuner driver fix and you will find a tutorial on how to make it detect.

Thanks
Currently I am running a Furmark stability test extreme burn mode
I overclocked it using evga precision tool too
713/1613/1259
and set the fan speed to 100
and max temp till now on furmark is 73C on 389 seconds test
is my overclock ok or is it too much

overclock cant really be too much, too much is when the card becomes unstable/gets too hot. Even at 73c though.... might wanna look towards some aftermarket cooling solutions..
