Few questions About LCD's

Ok first off i dont know much about monitors, just getting that out there.

I was told that all LCD monitors are HD, is that true?

Also im looking for a wide screen HD monitor. I play games that have very good graphics and im looking for a monitor that will have the best visual display. Can anyone help me?
 
HD simply refers to the resolution. Monitors are super-HD compared to some TVs.
