i have few questions to ask i am planning to buy new parts for my computer.

budget 350 euros i live in estonia.

what i have already:

motherboard: GA-MA 78LMT-S2 52 euros.

memory: crucial ddr3 pc-10600 1333mhz 2gb 37 euros.

processor: amd athlon 2 x4 635 2.9ghz am3 box 91 euros.


now i also need a PSU and graphic card .

also u can recommend me a good processor or motherboard but make sure they fit.

now and can somebody explain if there is a different between pci express 2.0 and pci express 2.1?? like my motherboard has pci 2.0 but i saw a graphic card with pci 2.1 . would that fit with my motherboard?

and is there a difference between gddr3 and ddr3 ?

would a gddr3 graphic card fit into ddr3 motherboard??

Yes, motherboard and CPU are compatible, those two are a good combo; PCI express 2.1 is just a revision of PCI express 2.0, it's backwards compatible so it will work fine. GDDR3 stands for Graphics Double Data Rate 3, it's just a type of Graphics RAM, DDR3 is Double Data Rate 3, it's a type of RAM, or memory (Temporary storage) Graphics cards fit into expansion slots, the newest being PCI express, which is yours, aslong as your motherboard has a PCI express slot, then a GDDR3 GPU will fit in there

Can't help with the parts because don't know any computer shops in estonia. I know ones that ship internationally, but shipping would be crazy, so you would be better getting it local.

pci express 2.0 and 2.1 are, for the sake of compatibility, identical, 2.1 just has some extra features that will be in PCIe 3.0, but both 2.1 and 2.0 are the exact same speed.

There is a difference between GDDR3 and DDR3. GDDR3 is graphics memory, so the memory on the video card itself or on the motherboard (if it is integrated graphics). DDR3 is system memory, like the Crucial memory you put in your post, that is DDR3. GDDR3 and DDR3 aren't the same, GDDR2, GDDR3 and GDDR4 are more similar to DDR2, GDDR5 is similar to DDR3. The type of video memory does not matter when it comes to compatibility with a motherboard. A motherboard which is DDR2 means it will only work with DDR2 RAM, it doesn't not mean it will only work with video cards that have GDDR2 memory, the video memory can be of any type, so you could have a graphics card with GDDR5 memory on a DDR2 motherboard, or one with GDDR2 memory on a DDR3 motherboard.

The last paragraph answers your question about whether a GDDR3 video card would work on a DDR3 motherboard

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/114929 I know you're not in the UK, but you can search the model number, that's about 55 euros, although any PSU from a reputable company will be good (Antec, Cooolermaster, OCZ, thermaltake, etc.)
As for the GPU with the money remaining I would go for a HD 5770, they offer good value for the price - ideal low-mid range card

PCIe16 is just the length. It will fit into a PCIe x16 slot, which on this picture of your motherboard:

is the blue lane on the left of the heatsink saying Gigabyte on it.

Little fact though, a PCIe x16 card will work in a PCIe x1 slot, and an x1 card in an x16 slot. The x just represents the speed and size of the lane

i just thought since it has 700W it will be enough but the corsair and antec psu's are so expensive

is like 430W enough if it's good brand??

i use it for gaming mostly but not mega good games like crysis or bfbc2, mostly online games .

also i use 1440x900 resolution.

By online games, do you mean browser games? If so, and you never play any of the newer PC games you will only need a cheap graphics card, because it won't need to be able to play the newest, most detailed games.

430W would be enough if it were a good brand yes. It isn't that the quality supplies are expensive, it is that the crap ones are so cheap. The wattage means very little, it is about build qulity and where that power is going. Cheap units use very cheap parts, and alot of the time miss out the safety features that would protect you should you have a power surge or the unit fail, so you would end up with your components damaged, unable to claim warranty as it would be void due to another component failure, and you would be out of pocket having to rebuild your system again

nps, only thing I would change, if you can fit it into the budget, is your video card, if you can, try to get it up to a 5750, or even better, 5770 or GTX460 (768mb, 1GB is probably out of your price range)
