I heard about somethin that i BELIEVE started in Texas, where Fiber Optics were being used, and increased connection speeds up to like 5x faster than cable.......?

well i live in Texas, and my school board did say it increased internet speed...so you might be right. i'll see if i can find some hard evidence.
