File deletion

Is there a way to delete a file that when you right click on it, there is not a delete option, it says that it has an invalid file name, unable to rename it, even with a file rename program. i get a runtime error when i try to use a force delete program.

I think the first thing I'd try is to delete file while the computer is in safe mode. Otherwise, you could try a file shredding application such as StompSoft's Digital File Shredder Pro http://www.stompsoft.com/fileshredder.html or comparable app. If all else fails you could track down the DOS path (via the Command Prompt) and see if you can delete the entry that way as well.
