FILE DOWNLOADS = 0 kbs ??

New Member
Persistent problem now. Using Firefox. Chrome was indeed faster, but when it begins crashing every few minutes, sorta defeats purpose of it. But I digest..(ugh, sorry. ha)
Far too many downloads ,...just aren't at all!(a download)
ZERO kbs is what I get. Another forum response on this, provided this solution.;

Some had success.... but I dont even
find the item referred to in "about:config".!? At a loss.
I've checked all Firefox options, find nothing even close to relevance.
Ideas?

Mr JohnB35. Problem is, 2-fold. I cant download the apps.--the 0kb thing.
The few that I have managed to download (perceived, anyway) ... Windows
blocks the execution of the file !!?? I've just been digging around Win Firewall's
"inbound / outbound" rules. (mind-boggling) and all Internet Options - security
settings etc. etc. etc. No clue what's going on here. I tried getting MalwareBytes at maybe 5 sites now. Cant do it?
I will try using IE, or Chrome, I guess.
OH...... , found "DrDelete", and it seemed to load. But, that's the most recent
app to be pounced on by Windows..."prevent dangerous application ..." or some such nonsense. ???

Do not use the infected computer to download software. Use a different system to download software and then transfer it to the infected computer using a usb flash drive.
