file extension question

Sometimes I record a program off of tv if I can't watch the entire show. The recording is in a .ts format. I found a program to convert it to a dvd format to record it to dvd so that I can watch it on my dvd in the other room. But it makes files with three different types extensions=.ifo, .vob, and .bup and I don't know which ones I need to burn to the dvd to be able to watch it. Can someone lead me in the right direction, or do I need to convert the .ts to a different format to keep it simple. If so, which format?
thanks for any help.

all these files are required by a dvd disc. burn them onto a disc. they will appear as folders
