hey... I made a stupid move. I recently reformated one of my hard drive's. I had forgotten a very inportant thing on there. If anybody knows a good, virus free recovery program that could help me get it back it would be great
 
i am going to assume if my drive is making a noise like its trying to fire but cant then i will need to send it to a clean room for data recovery?
 
no, i am just replying to your post indicating that although that may work for others who have issues it just wouldn't work for mine.
 
You can recover your data with the help of file recovery software. I know one of them, Stellar Phoenix File Recovery Software. I have used this software in the past when I deleted my files.
