File Type .001,.002,.003 etc.

I have 7 parts of a file to join and it has worked before using hjsplit but this time I changed the .001 file type to WMV format because I wanted to make sure I wanted the rest of the file.

Well now I can't join any of the files cause when I try to it doesnt recognise a .001 file becaus eit is now a wmv file

I was just wondering if there is any way of converting this first file back to .001 so I can join the other parts.

Well...

Make sure...under control panel -> folder options -> view -> and uncheck : "hide extensions for known file types". Then you can manually change the extension to .001 . I hope that's what you wanna do with it right?
