Filename color

Hi there,
I have noticed a strange occurence and am wondering if anyone can provide any advice.

I am running windows XP and have the classic windows layout.

When I look through my computer or my documents, all the information is usually in black text.

At some point in time, some files' information turned blue.

What does this mean?

It's something with the file attributes I beleive. Perhaps that it's encrypted? Exactly what files are like this?

and so on...

really puzzling...

Blue means its a compressed file, Green means its encrypted

Interesting...Could that happen from defragmenting?

No. Some directories/files under the windows directory are compressed by default but I don't think anything else is, so it would have to be something you did possibly through running disk cleanup.
