I wish to transfer files on Pentium II Computer which does not have a USB connection to a Mesh AMD Athlon 64 3500+. The 'sticks'require a USB connection and I wish to avoid using floppy dics, some of which would not be large enough for some of the files. Can I pick someone's brains?

you could connect them through parallel cable or you could get a PCI USB card and install on your old pc. make sure that the old OS is supported with drivers for that usb card.

If you have a CD burner in your new computer, you can take that out and put it in the old computer (if it supports it) and burn them to cd, then put the drive back in your new computer. Or you can try some of the other ideas, such as networking.

If the old computer has an ethernet connection, you can use a cross-over cable (CAT5 type) to directly connect the two PCs.
