Filling RAM slots

Here's a question. I've heard that filling all of your RAM slots is more benificial then leaving for example, two filled and two unfilled. But then i've heard it doesn't matter too. I need the truth!

Yeah truth is explained in RAM 101 but it does depend on the system involved and whether or not the total RAMcount will be the same or not. :)

Well I have 4x256MB of DDR2 in my system and it works at the speed it's supposed to, so the DDR2 must be ok with all the DIMMs filled, cool. These guides are very helpful by the way. I'm glad i've joined this forum! :)

Welcome welcome ... yeah you wont have a problem since you've got a 915 (or newer) chipset. :) I do suspect your timings will be running at 2T but thats stupidly irrelevent :D

Well my timings are at 4-4-4-12. This is what is advertised for the RAM. I'm not much of an over-clocker, too scared of burning something up. I'm already in debt from buying too much stuff!

Yeah well 4-4-4-12 is pretty decent especially for Value DDR2 memory so thats not bad at all :)
