oh and all items are being purchased from directcanada.com
the system rounds off to $1600 cdn not including taxes.

Get a good PSU, don't use the one that comes with the case since it sucks pretty bad and it might even burn out your system, other than that is fine oh yeah if you don't need it right away wait till 2X of april which is when prices are reduced you'll save around 1XX$ dollars on the C2D

yea if you wait till april 22nd you can get the q6600 for the same price as the e6600 which i believe is $266.00 correct me if im wrong.

really, i didnt think the q6600 dropped to that price until quarter 3. I really hope it does drop april 22nd but not sure.

edit: yeh it does drop to 266 on april 22nd. Yeee, can get quad core for my new build and saint, unless you want to save money and still go for the e6600

i dont think i want to get a DX10 card yet a many of my games dont support DX10. i plan on sticking to Dx9 till dx10 games hit the market.

lol srry i didnt read it all ... so the q6600 will drop to $370? that seems to be a large drop as $990 is the current price from my website

dont know what the price will drop to, some sites say to $266 on april 22nd and some say it wont drop till that price until late in quarter 3. so dunno

I think i will stick to the e6600 and save my money...it is still pretty fast:)
ill just upgrade to a next gen quadcore next time i get a computer.

Does the Q6600 really have much a lead over the dualcore procs as most of the games coming out are if not for single cores meant for dualcore processors? all that multithreading and stuff...
