Just to make sure it is all compatible and stuff, I don't really want to change anything. Price is good, parts are good, etc. And I'll be getting a GPU once midrange DX10 cards come out so don't ask about that. Again, this is just for compatability.

*DDR2 667 is all you really need, but DDR2800 is fine too.
*Personally, I wouldn't waste money on a Light Scribe drive, but that's all up to you.
*Good deal on the HDD, but I'm not a big Seagate fan after two new ones died within a week :P From different places, too.
*I didn't check the specs on the PSU, but I assume it has pretty high amps on the 12V rails?

Better future proofing I guess. And higher OCing.

The main reason I got it was the SATA interface and the 18x write speed for DVDs. I doubt I'll ever use lightscribe. The other SATA optical drives were either sold out or blu-ray drives.

How is TigerDirect's return policy? Does the drive not have anything because its OEM?

Yup. I think 3 x 18a or something.

OH, I didn't realize the optical drive was SATA. Definetly ditch that! Unless its the same price as the IDE version, it's a waste. There is absolutely no speed increase going from IDE to SATA with optical drives.

I've never tried to return anything to TigerDirect so I don't know... However, I think the drive itself has a decent warranty. But still...do you want to risk getting a drive that'll die

How long did it take to die on you?

EDIT: Are seasonics good PSU brands? Cause I think Corsairs are just rebadged seasonics with higher quality parts and modularity.
