Just so you know, the case does come with a pair of fans(at least in the pictures) Otherwise, I just glaced over everything and it seems fine.

Yes I saw but I read the reviews and it said that they were loud/not effective so I decided to get those instead. Thanks for looking it over now to wait for it to be shipped to my uncle in the US and then shipped to me in Canada:)

I would get a set of Corsair memory instead of the Patriot memory, because the Patriot requires 2.2V to meet those timings, where Corsair only requires 2.0-2.1V last I checked.

Also, don't get the Zalman CNPS9500. While it cools the CPU well, it doesn't cool the Northbridge, RAM or the Voltage regulators, which usually get quite warm (especially with the motherboard at 500FSB). I would suggest either the Thermaltake Big Typhoon or VX.

Lastly, get Arctic Silver 5, not Ceramique.

Ok so I changed it to Corsair and it had the $40 MIR too :)

Which would you choose between the two heatsinks you suggested? I myself am leaning toward the Big Typhoon.

The only reason I chose ceramique was because it isn't conductive

I don't really know the difference, but both would be good.

AS 5 is conductive? I've never had any problems with it.

Thanks for the help, I'll be going with the Big Typhoon and yes AS5 is conductive and if I get it n my board I mught fry it!

It's kind of hard to get it on the board, seeing you're taking the CPU out and rubbing the paste onto that. But I've never heard of anyone having trouble with AC5.

I'd reccomend getting it a buyxg.com.
Pros: 1 year warranty
Cons: none

price= thirty extra, but with wireless card and quad SLi Ready MOBO (and warranty)

Pros: 1 Year warranty
Cons: Some random person built it, you don't have the expreience and knowledge of building it. If you build it yourself, than you don't need a warranty.

EDIT: And how come do I get $1669?

Artic Silver 5 Released Oct 20, 2003
http://overklokking.no/annet/arctic_silver_5/eindex.html
Price: $1.71 per ounce

I could actually find the release date for ceramique but it was considered "new" on 2.19.04
http://www.techwarelabs.com/reviews/cooling/heatsink_roundup04/index_4.shtml
Price: $2 per ounce

That makes it about a 4 month difference.

Another reason would be that everyone trusted AS3, and AS5 was the same idea just made better. Ceramique was a new concept and would therefore be less trustworthy

I have the EXACT same build planned, every single part except the case and heatsink, and i plan to OC and everything with EXACTLY the same setup. Please tell me how it goes, and PM me your OC capability, and the functionality of your system. sweet
