Final list for my $5K @ Newegg :)

Congrats again OMEGA! :)
Man, that is some AWSOME stuff your getting!! :D

May I suggest getting the 70-200 F4 for about $100 more, but quite a bit more quality? ;) (just a thought)

What kind of photography would you be doing?

You could spend $1200 on this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830998375

GREAT lense, definatly would not be dissapointed. You could also pick up a flash. a 580EXII runs about $430: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830998075
or the 430EX would be great (I plan on picking one up myself when I get my Kenko extention tubes)

Hey, are they still sendin a Newegg rep to meet with you?
I was told their VP is on travel for something so it would have to wait, but I'm trying to get them to let me fly out to them instead (at their expense of course), then I can spend a few days in Cali :)

Congrats again OMEGA! :)

I considered the 70-200 f/4L for about $80 more, but I've seen several sample shots with the 70-300 and it looks fantastic. The extra 100mm, IS, and much more discrete look are why I went with the 70-300mm.

As for the $1,200 lens, I'm just using an XSi so it has the 1.6x crop factor, before I invest in any smaller lenses I would want to get a different camera.

I definatly understand getting the 70-300 IS, it's a great lense, just thought I would throw out the suggestion :P
I dont blame you for not wanting to get "the brick" :P
with what you have left, you could buy a 40D and sell your XSi for a little extra money back in your pocket, or just keep it as a back-up :)

probably too late but i would say don't spend it all right now :P

that's a lot of money and your computer is pretty up-to-date right now anyway, so might as well wait a while and spend that stuff when really good deals come out. your money will go a lot further.

but all in all that's an awesome rig!

i agree dont spend it all right now your computer is still pretty up to date but at the end oft the day its your money

also i wouldnt reccomend a toshiba laptop the quality has fallen drastically over the years from my experiences and experiences of others

I could... :)

But I really like the 5D body if I could get that.

I didn't spend it all, I have about $1500 left. And as of now I pretty much bought everything that I wanted to buy, so whenever I find something, I'll use that $1500 to pay for it.

As for the Toshiba, I decided against it, at least for now.

Woot! I'm getting most of my stuff today, and the rest tomorrow (including the 4870 X2 :D). I'll be sure to post some pics and benchies when I get it up!

Haha, if you can afford the 5D, definatly go for it! :D
The only thing I dont like about the 5D is that it's only 3FPS.

Someone already sent me a PM about that, but yes, when I get my computer working then I will sell it along with my 3870.
