I know its 20 bucks over my budget, but i think thats fine, haha, i'd be making 100 anyway, so now its only 80, but then u factor in shipping, and i make about 30 off of this i guess, ohwell, its still fun spending other's money, and i get to mess with it for a while.
 
One last thing, do u think the black light- kinda cold cathodes would go with the blue lights?

Oh, duh dvd burner forgot that, i guess i'll get the $130 deal from monarch, and i have XP pro, and i'll just use that thermal paste that the psu comes with. (wait, don't they come with thermal paste? the last build i helped with did.

It really depends on what you do. normally if u just do some normal stuff, 1gb should be way more then fine. gaming is 1gb is fine, 512 even works pretty good, but if u like do some photo editing, like heavy like- then 2gb is a good number to have. the reason i got just a 1gb stick was so that as soon as i get more money, i can like get like a 512mb stick, and then when i get more a like a 1gb stick, and i should be set
what about the black light and blue led;s?

At 17A on the all important 12V line, you should consider getting a different PSU if you plan on powering a decent system with it

How much more of a diffrence does 2 gigs (1gbx2) vs 1gb (512MBx2) make when it comes to lag and speed of a computer?

Well all things being the same, 2x512 will have more performance as you'll be using the full 128bit memory addressing bus rather than a 64bit one

ECS motherboards are okay, but suggest chaintech. Hard drive, maybe a seagate or wester digital 250GB instead of 200GB, maybe Sata II also. Ram, highly suggest corsair value instead, do believe its cheaper also. Don't forget as5 or windows if needed.

for terminal type systems perhaps but they arent cheap enough to warrant selection most of the time.
 
Yes, i kinda had to sacrifice some stuff, but samsung has a lifetime warrenty, or maybe it was 3 year, but anyway, if he don't want to upgrade in 3 years, i'd be suprised. so that looks fine, and i've had ecs mobo's before, and i like them, they work pretty good.
so, what would u sugest for a limit of 700 +/- $30 ?
 
you should probably get a small hard drive and spend a little more for a better mobo. better to get another hard drive in the future than buy a whole new motherboard.
 
Never had a problem with an ecs, but still, if anybody can get a better setup for the price, then please, be my guest

Quote possibly because their featureset is so limited you wont encounter anything that could give you a problem (yet) .. like i mean their high end current generation boards are quite decent however for those prices you can get products from more reputable makers ... for their non-super-high-end-models ... not so great
