The OCZ supply saw the same price back in August to rule that out unless found cheaper elsewhere. Price shopping around at different vendors often sees results. Don't be bound to strictly one vendor.

For the board mwave.com has the lowest price saving about $5 over newegg as seen at http://www.mwave.com/mwave/skusearch.hmx?SCriteria=BA24220&CartID=done&nextloc=

To save money and still see a large capcity sata newegg carries two WD 500gb modells with one priced at $99.99 and the one at the link here for $104.99. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073

For the optical drive(sata) you could even go for a dvd burner in the same price range since optical drives run from $23-$33 in general. The links here however simply show the same hardwares for a few dollars less by price shopping.

I've been running Sony labeled optical drives for about 7yrs. now and never had a problem except for the length of the casing on one of the older models in a new build. That would touch the board if not installed in the top 5 1/4" drive bay then. Those were made by Lite-On and now Nec. You don't have to spend more then $30 at this time for a good one since prices have fallen sharply.
