OK im making a build and i want to know how its coming. Here it is:

-Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Windsor 2000MHz HT 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor
-Motherboard: MSI K9N SLI Platinum Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
-RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel

I already have a keyboard and mouse. Is there any changes i should make to my build?

thats a very good setup. are you going to order after the price cuts? but do you need that expensive sound card? i don't see any speakers except your monitor speakers.
 
Yes i am going to order after the price cuts on the processor. I had someone on this site make me a build that i tweaked a bit and that was the sound card he put so i kept it. and i have a crappy speaker setup that ill use until i buy better.
 
Yep, Get a processor from the Core 2 Duo line instead of an AMD X2.

You would also have to change your motherboard, which isnt a big deal. You could also keep your RAM.

It would perform much much better.
 
Could you give me a link to a Core 2 Duo processor and a motherboard that is compatible with all of my stuff? That would be great.

I am not sure where Core 2 Duo processors can be purchased yet but look for a motherboard with the Intel 975X chipset.

Core 2 Duo is compatible with another chipset but I forgot the name.
