Find IP Address

Is there an easy way to find the IP address in windows 7? I can find it OK in Windows XP

think this is what ya want.

in fact use ipconfig /all

Should you want to find your current Internet IP address you would have to look in your router settings or go to this site or similar. The page also lists the procedure detailed by Tremmor, for Win and Mac.

for the record the ipconfig /all will show a physical addy this is also your mac.
Or you can type 'getmac' from the run command at start run.

If I go to Run and type ipconfig or ipconfig /all < I see a black DOS box for a fraction of second and then its gone, I must be doing something wrong. It was easy in XP

Got it. I must type CMD in the run box, and when the DOS window appears, type ipconfig

try going to dos prompt.
start: accessories and dos prompt
for get run
ip config /all

if that does not work then you have another issue.
