find password on your computer

is it possible that when you type a password on internet explorer that you can find it on your computer somehow? i cant remember a password i typed on the internet but i heard when you put in a password that it stores on your computer in the cookies or something. any help would be appreciated, thanks.
 
Usually it will only store those passwords and stuff if you actually tell and allow it too, if I remember correctly... If you have that activated, then yes, it should be stored in a cookie in your Temporary Internet Files folder somewhere.

Also if you have this enabled then you just goto the logon screen and type the first letter of the pass and it will pop up;)
 
when i enable that and then type a password in on my computer where do i go to find the password? it isnt being saved in cookies
 
trail and error, try to find it... Delete all cookies then try to enter the pw thing. It should be the only, or one of a few in there.. :)
