Finding a dvd player on my Laptop

I have a Lenovo lap top and received for Christmas a CD/DVD.

I have loaded the CD songs onto itunes, but cannot find a way of watching the dvd on here also.

I have seen expensive dvd players to buy but wonder of there are cheaper even free options.

I would value your advise.

Media Player Classic

Take your pick. There's a million ways to watch a DVD on a computer.

Only Windows Media Player in Windows 7 plays DVDs out of the box without the need for codecs. VLC is a good free one, otherwise I like PowerDVD (the later versions are so much better).
