Finding the perfect card for my system.

This might be a commonly asked question but i would like to know what to look for in terms of matching up a card for my system. do i have to match it with the speed of the memory? i mean the reason i ask is i dont want to get an 88 if its just more than i need for my system but at the same time i want the best i can get.

here are my system specs if it helps at all.

1gig ddr2 533
p4 3.0ghz
250 gig maxtor hard drive
all stock hp stuff
and some getto ass video card.

No you don't have to match it with the memory.

1) The PSU probably won't hold.
2) Prebuilts stink.
3) Model
4) Budget
