Power Supply - Rosewill Turbo series RT550-135 12v 550W

Processor - _____________________(help me :) )

RAM - _______________ (help me :) )

Videocard - 8800GTS 320/640 MB (still not sure which.)

Case - NZXT Apollo Black Mid-Tower case

The only two things that i have currently are the Case and the PSU, everything else is still up in the air, and i need help on deciding on some components that are all compatible with eachother and that will not bottleneck eachother also.

My budget is around $400-$500 for the RAM, Motherboard, and Processor. Feel free to drop a bit below $400, 400-500 is just the most that i am willing to pay.

Go with a 640Mb 8800GTS, I really suggest that you don't trust that PSU on a ~$400 card. Gigabyte P35-DS3R or 965P-DS3 motherboards, RAM go with Corsair XMS or G Skill. Intel Core 2 Duo CPU...

My recommendation

After Mail-In Rebate(-$30) $418.98

What's wrong with the PSU? Got really good reviews on newegg and was listed as one of the 'good' PSU's on a budget in the PSU thread.

And thank you for the setup. :]

Edit - Think i should return it and get a more reliable PSU?

Ah, nice. thank you. Also, how does newegg.com handle returns? Do they take long to refund your money?

I haven't ever needed to return anything and i have bought everything from them, from what i hear people that need to do a RMA, i think they cross ship.. not sure though but i hear they are pretty fast on their RMA's

that corsair 520 is a nice psu... if you'd ever consider running two of those 8800s in sli tho you might want to get a bigger psu now... corsair 620 is its big brother

Q6600 is a bit out of my price range really, i figure if i ever need to, i can just update later on for cheaper. Really wish i didn't order this Rosewill PSU now though, was trying to save a few bucks and people said they would be fine for a 8800GTS 320MB :\
