It would be helpful if you could show us what you're talking about. Use the Print Screen button to take a 'picture' of your desktop. Go to Paint and paste it. Then save the image and upload it to photobucket or imageshack and post it here. I'd be more than happy to help you with your Ad issues.
I find Google Chrome is great if you can get over its basic look.. I usually avoid all ads with it. In addition, if they are just regular flash ads, Firefox has a flash-blocker add-on that allow you to pick and choose each flash ad/game/etc. that is on a page to load. Download the firefox add-on "Ad Block Plus" and select a subscription.
You will then never again see any pop-up or banner ads.

Thanks for this information. I have been using Chrome because of all of the Ads on Firefox and it is now running faster than Chrome again. Great find!
