Firefox Being Very Stupid

Sometimes when I'm typing in a text box (much like this one) Pressing the (') apostrophe key or the (/) backslash? key it opens a "quick find" toolbar at the bottom of the window. I have looked through the options and can't find a fix for this. Any help?

That's the FF function. I don't know how to switch that off. and I couldn't find anywhere how to do that...

it's because it doesn't know you're in the text box.

i created a thread about this myself a while back, and nobody else had ever had this problem....
