firefox dead?

i got back from work today and now firefox won't load anything but IE is fine, i can ping all websites and its running normal, run virus scans etc, nothing
i re-installed FF as well to no avail, any suggestions?

did you try it in safe-mode (not XP safemode) but the Firefox safemode ?
