Firefox keeps freezing machine

Every once in a while I click on a link and my firefox freezes my entire computer. I was having this problem with my last computer, but I haven't had it with any other machine I've ever worked on before. thebestcasescenario.com/forum, random myspace links, and other random sites do it. Does anyone have an answer?
I am 100% sure it's firefox, and I'm 99% sure it's not just my computer. It could be a program that I've been running on both machines, a virus I got, maybe certain pages. I dunno.

Are you running FF3 beta? FireFox isn't invulnerable just like any other browser in the long run. You probably have to simply reinstall it to see the problem cleared up or look over the security settings if those are up too high.

I was running the regular Firefox (not beta, dunno the version) before, and I was crashing, and so I thought I'd try FF3 beta 3, and I'm still getting them. I'll try an reinstall.

I would give that a try seeing the beta removed and a fresh install of 2.0 there. So far I haven't seen one problem with the 2.0 version on either XP or Vista here since a one time problem simply corrected by a fast reinstall mainly to see an addon removed.

I guess it could be an addon like adblock plus or fire ftp, but I don't have either of those installed currently on FF3 B3, so I dunno how that could be so.

When FF 2 beta first came out I had to revert back to the older version right away. The same was seen for IE 7 beta prior to Vista's release. Unless I have a specific reason I usually avoid beta versions of anything until they have the bugs worked out.

I put those on briefly for only seeing what they look like and then remove them when the first signs of problems appear showing something isn't quite ready. The best move for you since you having beta issues is to run FF 2 until the finished version is released.
