Firefox Problem

hey, i am having a very annoying problem with firefox.

whenever i type something in something like google, or any other web page, the text appears, but when i hit search it acts like there is nothing there and just "refreshes" the page. what could be causing this problem, i have reinstalled firefox, removed any addons etc... and the problem still persists, its really getting on my nerves.

That is a Firefox bug........Check and make sure all of the Internet Settings are legit in Internet Options. Are you using this on a like a work server with a proxy?

I know at school, all of the search engines are disabled and they just sit there and refresh like you described
 
i have now managed to fix the issue. i fan FF in safe mode and repaired everyhting i could, it now works fine :D
