I just installed Firefox and it is on my desk top. When I try to open it I get the following alert

start.mozilla.org could not b e found. Please check the name and try again

What is the remedy for this?

Id say that your firewall is blocking it. Check in your firewall settings to allow firefox.exe

I dropped my firewall and it did go through. Thank you for that!

Now I am trying open the setup and I get this.

7 ZIP
Unspecified Error

I'm sure it is probably my fault somehow, but does anyone know? If anyone knows maybe I will be sure to add you to my holiday fruit basket list.

I was running the Firefox setup file. I was thinking that maybe I could set Firefox as my default browser like that. I now see I can use Firefox.
Do I need to uninstall IE now, so I can use Firefox as my main browser?

No, you can set firefox as default with IE installed.
Firefox: Tools -> Options ->General -> Default Browser -> Check Now

What file extension are you trying to open?

.zip, .rar, .7z?

try using another program (Winzip, Winrar) to open the file.
