Sorry for the caps but for those of you who don't know or havnt heard there is a rogue update for adobe flash that affects firefox users, you will be bought to a page asking you to get the latest version of flash and then prompt for a download.
Well I did this glancing the url which seemed genuine but on closer inspection you can see the "." extension is clearly a rogue entry.
Now even with this virus/worm removed by my antivirus (bitdefender 2011) and Spybot search and destroy, my internet connection seems to have taken a hit.
Now firefox slows to a crawl after spending a certain amount of time browsing and internet explorer barely runs on a good day while not running at all on most days.
I've cleaned my browser history, deleted unneccessary temporary files and scanned for spyware several times, I'll try to get a hijack this log if it helps, but right now I'm kinda stuck with a REALLY unstable internet connection.
On a final note, does anyone have a link to an adobe's latest flash player so I can try to reinstall it? I'd do it myself but unfortunatly like i said, the connection I'm on is unstable at best and I have trouble even accessing google at the moment.
