So many people have told me that Firefox is the best internet browser you can get. What's so special? Should I get it?
 
You should, no question, it is the best browser available (that i use). It has many features, and the best part is that it is safer from viruses and malwayre on sites. I would definitely reccomend it.
 
This is what it looks like, you get tabs on the top instead of opening multiple windows, its very efficient. I suggest that you try it out for a couple days and get used to it before ditching it like I almost did. I d it for the first couple hours of use, but I am sooooo glad I stuck with it. It just takes a little time :) . And notice that a google bar is built-in on the side.

i don't find nothing special in Firefox and many peolple told me pass on firefox but i've always used IE and i've never had problems...
 
Firefox, always runs faster then me, and it puts less of a load on your computer as well. Since Firefox has it all in one window it is still like having 1 application open, while IE bogs down a lot with multiple windows. I love firefox and will never go back, I even have firefox on my Mac, safari is crap like IE.
 
I prefer to use Netscape, which is basically the same, but it has a very handy thing called passcards and datacards, which are used to save information. (I know firefox does the same, but not as well) It also has AIM built into a Sidebar, along with bookmarks, history, weather, etc.

It was built from Mozilla/Firefox.
 
Yeah, it's seems like my computer always has a virus. haha
So maybe it's just my browser .. I think I'll give it a try

I've used IE, Safari, Netscape, Opera, MSN Explorer, and Firefox and must say that of all those Firefox has been the fastest, most customizable, and most reliable browser I've ever used.

There is a poll for it, although im sure tis not corect, becuase poeplelike me thought it would be fun to put down girl anyways.
 
Sometimes you need IE for some websites, but you can easily get an add on so you just right click and select Show in IE TAB and problem solved. FireFox is the #1 browser in the world to me. Although I always get it confused with Foxfire (which is a glowing mushroom that people used to use to find there way back home at night-but can kill you if you eat it)

More prone to spyware/ads, crappy implementation of websites, no tabbed browsing, lack of extensions, etc.


Firefox 1.5
Less prone to spyware/ads, better implementation of websites (except ones IE only), tabbed browsing, huge library of extensions

Opera 9
Faster than IE/Firefox, tabbed browsing, bittorrent built-in, widgets.

Personally I use Firefox because of the extensions I use, but if it weren't for that I would go with Opera.
 
sorry about that off topic chat... but i think dhaynes sums it up very nicely, i also use firefox and highly reccomend it as well.

I like firefox because when you use the find option it searches for you letter by letter. Whereas in IE and opera, you need to write the full word to find it.
