Firewall problems

P.I Dragon
I have Xone Alarm Pro installed as my firewall, for a while now the internet has been painfully slow, no one on my network is downloading, all other pc's are turned off.

one thing ive noticed is that when going to somewhere like gmail, it sits ther for like 40 seconds, saying "Connecting to 127.0.0.1" in the status bar, seeing as this is the internal IP for loopback controllers etc... i figure its referring to whatever the firewall is doing.... So why is it taking for ever... i just dont get it!

I've allowed all of the prgrams access and permissions, i dont get any popups or anything.... i think this could be another type of thing like praetor had a while back in that post... (if anyone saw that..?)

Any ideas, seeing as its Zone Alarm Pro, not the free one, i wouldnt have thought there would be any problems like this... im stumped

for some reason when i recently upgraded to pro i have had the same problems, maybe we should both downgrade to the free version.

its not as noticable but it does seem to still be there.... also when im loading something like gmail it states connecting to 127.0.0.1, is this normal.... it doesn this when it is enabled and when it is disabled...

i also cant seem to connect to secure servers using active folders... even though the https port of 443 or 433 whatever it is is enabled and unblocked

eh?? draogn

*EDIT* - and with it disabled i still fail to load half the images on EVERY page, thats annoying

I run an older ver of ZA pro. I have no issues with it. I tried a newer ver once and hated that it was killing pics that I wanted to see (and they were not porn). I will stick with my 5 yr old ver. And I doubt that ZA is the problem.
