After years of using the 2005 Norton AntiVirus (yes I know that was a very stupid move) without updating it, I started using AVG Free + Spybot Search & Destroy. AVG Free found 2 Trojan horses + Spybot Search & Destroy found a whole lot of Adware/Spyware (70-something)
Now when I scan AVG Free, it always has a list of stuff that are under infections/threats called "Tracking Cookies" if I remember correctly, what are these? Just wondering, since I just ran the scan yesterday which picked up a lot (around 100) and when I scanned again today it picked up 2. What are these?
Now I know that Windows comes with its own Firewall called Windows Firewall (I'm using XP), and I'm wondering how good this is against the Free ones? I'm using Firefox (which I heard has like it's own protective abilities or something) and I'm looking for a Free Firewall that is better than the original Windows Firewall. Any suggestions?
Do I need to remove Windows Firewall to install another Firewall?
How to do you do that?
