I have a firewire card and it has 6. Pins.
Does this mean it can give power to the device it may be connected to?

Curiously i didnt actually know if Firewire provided power or not, but after a bit of reading, turns out that you should be able to provide 45 watts of power per port at up to 30 volts. So i think the answer to your question is yes!
