Hi and thanks for all the advice you give on this forum, it has been a great help to me. I'd like to build my first gaming computer, Diablo III, TOR, etc. This build is about $800 with parts mostly from a nearby Microcenter. I have a little extra money to play with if you see any worthwhile upgrades.

Thanks!

I like it all but if you can spend a bit more on the RAM and get Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz (2x4GB) it would be good http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0354611 it's $59.99 for the set. Everything else is pretty solid and yes for the time being a 550W PSU will be fine but in the future you may want to upgrade too 600W+. OCZ is a pretty good brand (running a ZS 650W now from OCZ, it's good) so there's no issues there. What optical drive are you going to 'recycle' and which hard drive are you going to 'recycle'? Are they both SATA?

Vistakid10,
Thanks for the reply. I've changed out the RAM to the one you suggested.
My old harddrive:
Samsung HD501LJ ATA
DVD RW
TSSTcorp TS-H653B ATA

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that I can't use these ATA devices?

Can I get a bit more help with this build please? I will be near the microcenter tomorrow and would like to go ahead and figure out what I need.
Will my ATA DVD Drive and ATA HDD work in my setup? If not, I will have to swap out the SSD for a new HDD.
Do you have any more recommendation for me?

I swapped out the SSD with a HDD and added an optical drive since I *think* my old ATA HDD and optical drive won't work?
Any suggestion at all?

Thank you
