First Build : Final question ( I think ) ATX question attaching to MOBO

I have double checked everything in my MOBO checklist - and everything looks to be in order - except 2 things

1) Final tidying of a few cables


2) Wanted to confirm my ATX connection to the Motherboard.

* I attached the 24 pin ATX cable to the my MOBO

* I attached a 4 x 2 ( 8 pin ) connection to the MOBO ( it's my understanding that it's for the CPU )

Is this correct - that I want both ATX power cables attached to the MOBO? If so - I think I'm ready to fire this puppy up.

Look forward to hearing a confirmation or two that I'm good to go :good:

WOOHOOO!!!!

First build - so far so good.

I'm getting familiary with Windows 7 - gonna get a second adapter to get 2 monitors - and have to get it live on the net later today too.

So far - not able to get any sound to play through my DVD Burner though. Video plays well though.
