First Build: Final Specs

Hey there, here are the final specs for my very first desktop build. If anyone has any advice, reccomendations or compatibility issues, please share it, Thanks :)


Case: Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
Cost: $59.99

MotherBoard: ASUS Pro AM3 AMD 890GX ATX
Cost: $134.99

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz
Cost: $154.99

Power Supply: Corsair 750W ATX12V 80 Plus Certified
Cost: $106.99

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 7200 RPM
Cost: $54.99

Graphics Card: Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic 1GB
Cost: $132.99

Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 1333

Total Cost After Shipping, Taxes, Rebates and Combo Deals: $764.29
 
Get another brand of GTS 450, all the Palit products that aren't "Sonic Platinum" have poor VRM cooling, which is essential.
 
since the link doesnt work for me i dont know if that psu is the hx or tx, but neither is modular.
Corsair is a great brand for a psu. xfx is great also, and you could get a xfx 650w 80+ modular for about 27$ less,
and it would also do the job. (and you can apply the diff to another card :))

Thanks for the advice, I got the 650w XFX. Linkin, do you think that the Elitegroup GTS 450 would be any better? If not, is there another gpu with just as good performance in my price range?
 
I would personally add a little and get a GTX460 but looks great, hope you injoy it! I'm about to do my first "build" soon too. (-:
 
that looks like a good deal on a decent card, you could do worse for more. that psu should do nicely.

Is the ocz psu any good? And I think I'll stick with the GTS 450, kind of an Nvidia fan, plus it fits right in my budget, thanks for the help
