First Build Going Horribly Wrong

Built my first computer recently, plugged it in, without an OS just to see what it did. Started up fine, everything booted up and loaded an Intel screen with two options, BIOS and Boot. Pressed the button for Boot, it shut down. Now whenever I start it up, the thing plays a weird beep tune and then shuts down with nothing at all appearing on the monitor. Please can someone tell me whats happening and how to fix it?
