As for the 4GB vs. 8GB. With 8 GB coming in at $100-150 the price is so negligible I'll just put the 8 in now rather than later.

8GB won't be an overkill if turn the pagefile writes off on your SSD.

Disabbling the page file is really not recomended.And there is a myth like people with 16GB+ RAM dont need a page file.But Windows will always create a page file on default.The Page file Disabling has led peoples computers to crash a lot.Like before the pagefile created was 1.5 times the size of RAM.But for windows 7 I have read many ways the OS creates(the size it allocates from the OS HDD) the page file and I dont know which one to believe.I have read somewhere that even if you have 8gb or RAM still the page file be used.
