First build, looking for help.

Alright I am looking to build my first desktop. I would like it to be a gaming computer, only games i really am interested in are Counter Strike Source and Guild Wars 2 (when it comes out). I was just wondering if someone on here would know the best parts to get for this build and stay in an 800 dollar limit. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated, thank you.
 
A few questions:

Do you need an operating system, keyboard/mouse, or monitor?

Do you want to be able to upgrade it later on? Add a second Graphics card?

How long till you order parts?
 
The operating system I think I have.
And I have a keyboard and mouse will need to buy a nice size monitor though.
And about the upgrading I would like to have the option I will probably want to upgrade it later on.
And I will probably be buying the parts a month from now 2 months max.
 
So the monitor is included in the $800?

What do you mean by "I think I have an OS"? If it isn't Vista/7 64 bit, I'd advise getting one. Maybye not in the initial build, if you'd rather go for better parts, but XP is aging and 32 bit OS's won't use more than ~3GB of RAM.

Sorry for so many questions...they make it easier to put a build together for you.

Well I think it's a copy of xp I have but if you think vista will be better for me I can spend a little more I suppose. And the monitor isn't included in the 800 I have one I can use for a little bit just like to see what brand you think would be best for this kind of gaming. Thank you so much for helping me so far!

I can spend another 100 bucks to get the windows 7 I suppose that will help out a lot more so just 800 for the computer build and I have a monitor for now will wait on the bigger one for later. By the way thank you so much for all this help so far!
