First build, mobo issues

Yeah, yours has SLi though. From what I gathered on the abit forums the IP35-E is the only one with the stupid double-boot issue.

Anyway, I updated it with a floppy disk, and still had the problem. Turns out it only stops it if you never remove power from the board (flip the switch on the PSU).

So yeah, the abit IP35-E is a piece of trash with a known issue that'll probably never be fixed.

I returned the mobo, floppy drive and floppy disks to Fry's the next day and now I'm looking at some Gigabyte or Intel stuff.
 
You could have held onto the floppy drive and disks and simply dumped the board back to FRYS. But that stuff is commonly found at low prices these days. This is one reason why many go with boards without Intel chipsets on them. Look over Gigabyte, MSI, Asus, etc. to get into a better board.
