First build need opinions on how this will run together

Hey guys this is my first build , im gonna start with the
COOLER MASTER HAF X RC-942-KKAA00 Black Steel
(should keep cold and comes with a 1k supply )
for the processor im thinking
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor

ASRock 880G PRO3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

Im gonna be playing the new guildwars and diablo if they ever come out- and will be able to do some school work on the comp i should have this thing for a long long time. Tell me what you think i should replace or would be better off running.
 
If you can wait a month, the new AMD Zambezi processor is coming out.

If not.

What brand and model 1000W power supply.

Unless your getting a good deal on the 1100T, I would just get the 1090T. Both overclock about the same.

The Asrock 880G pro 3 is a AM3+ socket, gives you the option to upgrade to the Zambezi, but its only a 4+1 power phase setup. That in itself is not that bad, but a 6+2 or 8+2 is better.

For the price difference in DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1600, I would go with DDR3 1600.
 
the power supply is a Cooler Master RSA00-80GAD3-US 1000W.
Would the zambezi be like the competitor to the intel i7 (expensive model one?)
I didnt plan on overclocking until later on when i can buy liquid cooling further down the road when it needs to be over clocked. I didn't relle know the diff between the two what does the turbo socket mean just a cool name for over clocking it safely?
I am in no rush and hope that the prices arnt overkill on the new amd stuff- what would you suggest running with the zambezi- i think this total is around $1200 what would you think for around that price- i wish everything was compatible hah theres so many different things.
 
core i5 2500K is faster than any of AMD in gaming.
Do you really need HAF 942 with 1000W PSU. I suggest you save some money to get a HAF 922 with 850W PSU. And use the money to get better video card.

i figured if i get a bigger case then that allows me more space in the future- like i said i plan on keeping the case for a relle long time- did they test the amd x6 in the studies i dont see it anywhere on the list? I am going to wait for the new amd stuff to come out and see how the tests compare them to intel so that will go on the back burner. my budget is not set in stone- if theres something better like graphics card wise that im going to notice that much of a difference i will fork the money up to get it but if its minimal and probably wont notice it then thats the point. Keep the ideas coming there very helpful- i had no idea the i5- was the beast of the gaming but does it also fall behind in everything else since it only have 4 cores.
 
with the new amd coming out im just gonna have to wait and see if i go with intels -i5 what would be a bada$$ setup like with graphics card mother board and stuff just so i know-(whats the best setup because i dont know the lingo what to look for that makes things compatible with each other) if its going to be till june 30th then i should be able to save aton more money then i thought and i would be able to buy alot higher stuff.
 
i also think im gonna switch my graphics card to the geforce gtx 570 since its gotten great reviews and does some work.

The Core i7 2600k is overkill and also the memory you used is overkill and also the HDD.
It would be better to get an SSD rather than the Raptor.
And getting a Samsung F4 as a secondary HDD.
I don't really like that case.
The core i5 2500k will be way more than enough.

yeah im either gonna use the intel i5 or see what amd releases with the zambezi- Even tho having the more cores does sound like a good idea i guess since the i5 is that much better for gaming its worth the less cores. - i am still stuck on that case tho hah not much is gonna get me away from that thing-

the GTX 570 is an amazing card.
The core i5 2500k is a good decision and also as for case you can go with the Cooler Master HAF 922 or the CM 690.Both are really good cases.
As for the PSU do not go with the PSU which comes with the case since it would be a Cooler Master PSU if you opt for a Cooler Master case.
And if you opt for any other brand then the PSU will be of even worse quality.

Cooler Master makes ok ok PSU not good not great but not that bad either.
But I would rather go with the PSUs which I listed in the previous post.
All of them are really good ones.Take any one of those depending on your budget.
