First Build//Parts Help

Hey everyone!
This is my first post here and consequently the first time building a desktop.
So basically what I wanted to know is whether the parts here will fit together or if not, what parts do I need? Also will this run all the recent and old games i.e. TF2, Crysis 3, BF3, Smite, Dota 2 etc... I will also need to render HD video on it because I run a YouTube channel

So here are the specs;

CPU:
Intel Core i7-2600K, 4x 3.40GHz, boxed (BX80623I72600K)

Motherboard:
1155 ASUS P8B75-M, B75 (90-MIBIB0-G0EAY0DZ)

Graphics Card:
NVIDIA EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Superclocked, 2GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, Min

RAM:
16384MB DDR3 Dual Channel 1600MHz NANYA (PC3-12800)

Hard Disk:
Seagate Barracuda 7200 1000GB SATA 6Gb/s (ST1000DM003)

SSD:
OCZ Octane-S2 64GB SATA II (OCT1-25SAT2-64G)

Disc Drive:
24x SATA-II DVD Brenner Multi Fromat Dual Layer (Black)

Power Supply Unit:
Cooler Master GX-Lite Series 600W ATX 2.3 (RS-600-ASAB/RS-600-AC

Case:
Case A-Dis ELITE 704 -DATA DISPLAY- Window Version

CPU Cooler:
Scythe Katana 3 (Sockel Intel/AMD)(SCKTN-3000)

Fans
extra 120mm FAN Super Silent:
Front Green Light 120mm FAN (1x)
Backside Green Light 120mm FAN (1x)

W-LAN Adapter intern:
TP-Link TL-WN781N, 150Mbps (MIMO), PCIe x1

A few recommendations - spend less on the CPU and get an i5 3570K with a Z77 motherboard such as the GA-Z77X-D3H. The 3570K will still be fine for rendering, I render pretty quickly on an overclocked 2500K.

Get a Radeon HD 6870 over the GTX 560.

Go for 8GB of DDR3 1600MHz, G.Skill RipJaws-X.

Get a 128GB SSD, OCZ Vertex 4, Samsung 830, SanDisk Extreme, Crucial M4, any of those.

Go for a better power supply such as the Corsair CX 600, and get a better case too - Corsair 300R springs to mind if it isn't going to be expensive - you won't need the extra fans with the 300R either.

What's your budget and where are you buying all this from?

Also i'm looking to not overclock because I did that before and slightly melted the computer :S I chose the 16 gig of ram because it was only 20 euros more expensive than 8 and the only thing I would want on the SSD would be the OS

Yeah it would work but you can save money in a lot of areas and spend money elsewhere, for example the money you save on the CPU and the RAM you could put towards a better motherboard and graphics card and maybe a better power supply and case.

Honestly building it yourself isn't hard at all and you'd get a better build at the end of it.

Awesome, thanks a lot, i'll definitely research into better cards, but I really like the idea of 16gb of ram, because it means that I won't have to upgrade anytime in the future, I have been saving a reallly long time for this and I don't want to be upgrading every 8 months, and the i7 has a good speed as it is and it is quite easily overclocked (as I have read). I think I will get a better case to do away with the extra fans (THANKS :D) and the SSD is only to speed up the boot times a bit!

BTW. What does a better power supply do for he computer?

OK yeah 16GB of RAM is nice (see my sig, I have 16GB), but it is a little overkill, if you can afford though yeah go for it.

Yes that 2600K is easily overclocked, but so is the i5. ;)

The power supply is arguably the most important part of the PC, if you get a bad one your PC will be under powered and the PSU may even die on you and take out the rest of your system, especially if it is put under heavy load. Basically a cheap power supply can turn into a very expensive one when it kills most of your system and you have to replace parts. You want nice, stable, clean power for your machine. :)

Thank you very much!
Seeing your older posts makes me think that I suddenly know nothing about computers :P So I shall definitely take your advice! Thanks a lot again!

Is there a rep system in this forum so I can give you some?

Du ist sehr wilkommen! (hope my German is ok, I study it at school! ;) )

No we don't have a rep system, but you can however add me as a friend if you like - kind of the same thing. :)

Du BIST sehr willkommen :D Means you are very welcome, you said you IS very welcome, small mistake, but you did well ;) And i will add you :D

Ah I was never very good at the 'ist' and 'bist' stuff - isn't 'bist' used for "moving words" though, like 'fahren' and 'schwimmen' and stuff?

Completely off topic but oh well. :)

Ok, I have made revisions to the build, it makes a little bit more expensive but...

Everything else except the following have been changed

MOBO
1155 Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H, Z77 (dual PC3-12800U DDR3)

Case
MS-Tech CA-0300 Stingray NG

NO EXTRA FANS

Will 600 watts be enough to run the system? Because if so then the current PSU will suffice.

How much is that stuff? I want to see if I can recommend better stuff for the same cost.

Can you post a link too please? :)

How much does the board cost and how much does that case cost. Don't worry I can translate it from German to English (love Google Chrome!)

You want to go for a full ATX board if possible, so try to get the GA-Z77-D3H, that's basically the ATX version of that same board.

I think you should get the Carbide 300R over that case - it's probably cheaper (certainly is in the UK!) and get the GA-Z77-D3H.

Honestly building is easy, just remember to ground yourself and you're good to go.

i looked over that ankermann website and found this:) :

i think this looks pretty good only the psu and case perhaps...

Thanks for the input, but I don't think that build would be the best for me, I would need a better GFX card, and case for what I want, I think XD
Thanks anyway :D
