Just a few more questions...

- Is it worth it to go for 2 hard drives for Raid 0 (or Raid 1)?
- Will I ever need more than the 8 gigs of RAM? I could get two sets of the patriot RAM listed above.
** Is the video card still compatible even though it is PCI Express 2.1?
- Will I need to buy any Cables?

Thanks for your time, and if you have any suggestions on different, cheaper, or better parts (for not too much more $$) that would be appreciated.

I wouldn't suggest that PSU, Appevia is a very cheap brand. 700 watts is overkill for your system unless you plan on crossfiring 2 cards. Would recommend corsair, antec, pc power and cooling units instead.

How much is that ^?

Don't get Apevia ps. Get quality unit like Seasonic/Corsair/PC P&C/XFX/Antec/Silverstone.

Unless you have free shipping @ Amazon the 965 @ NE is only 141 right now.
Do you need 8GB? If not, could save a few bucks there.
That motherboard is pretty dated. Try to get a newer one, like 870/880. Or even AM3+.

I wouldn't use a blue for C. There are faster ones pretty close to that $44.
Take a look at Samsung F4 320, it's really fast,, or F3. Or even the Seagate 7200.12 320 gb is only $39 I think.

- A small SSD for boot up and some programs, with an accompanying hdd would be better.
- Depends on what you'll be doing. Perhaps not, but it's cheaper that way and Windows 7 may like you better for it.:) 16GB would be a bit much.
- Yes, it is 2.0 is backwards compatible with 2.1.
- The motherboard will come with 2 Sata data cables. For 2 hdd's you'll need another.
- The power supply will have the power connectors.

I would recommend a faster HD or at least a larger cache long before more ram I have one game that requires 4GB of ram and I like open programs in the background my 12GB is great. Doubt I'll really ever get to 8+ though I think 6.55ish is the most I've seen used.

Yes, it will work since they both have sata interface. However, with just 32GB you'd need to do Option 1 here : Setup and Manage SSD , in order to keep those folders that are moved from maxing out out the 32GB of space.

Ideally you want the motherboard to have Sata 6.0 because 3.0 will reduce the speed of the SSD.

If your thinking of adding a SSD to the $770, and you want to let us know your absolute max budget, along with if you want rebates to be factored in, we could help better.

If your going to buy from NE, I suggest signing up for thier eblast. The very part(s) your buying could have a promo.
