This is my first ever computer build, no cable management yet because, until wednesday i have to use a temporary PSU, Video Card and Cooler, but here is the build right now.

My DF-10 with 2 extra fans in the front.
Yes the power supply is on the side of the case. It's old and the chords don't reach the MOBO.

Even with the stock cooler it idles at 25.9*C

I will update with clearer pics as the build progresses, and i might plug in some of the fans and take a photo of the front.

EDIT *

I have the rest of my parts, got them today

so far, i've done the noobiest thing possible..

bending the pins on a processor.

FML..

But anyways, when i sort that out. i'll finish the rest of the build.

here are the pictures of the parts i got.

Looks great,I like how on that case they have cut out a nice space for the PSU cables to go behind the motherboard tray,I had to cut mine myself it was a nightmare :/

Nice work :)

Thank you :D

I don't actually know if i'm going to be able to get any cables under there, the mobo is touching the top fan, it's a tight fit in there.

Looks like its going along nicely, good work :D
Awesome looking case btw, should be nice and cool in there.:good:

Thanks, I am gonna buy another blue fan for the front so that it doesn't look so out of place :)

Good Stuff.
I see you went with the 1090t and the Rd Scorpion good choice.

Yes i did, the 1090T so far, I haven't played games or done anything serious, because of the temp build, has been great, no lag, no issues. I can't wait until wednesday when i can pick up my graphics card, PSU and cooler :) then i can close my case and take some better photo's for you guys :)

That CPU will rock out all the multi-core applications.
As you mentioned earlier your use will be video encoding/editting this processor is made for you.

And as for games the newer CPU almost never bottleneck the games nowadays its mostly the GPU.

Do you think an XFX 6850 will bottle neck my games?

I'm not sure if it's just my TV that's doing it, but it's native resolution (720p) won't fit, i'm using dvi - hdmi converter on an xfx 7600 GT.

Its the TV that causes that, my 720P TV used to suck for PC before i went eyefinity with the 24" LCDs, so much better...

What I dont understand is that why are you using an Old PSU for your brand new Hexa Core Phenom, motherboard, and 6850. Power is a very important component in your gaming rig, i suggest you pony up some cash and buy a proper PSU to power it. Under extended gaming, your PSU might crap out.

That's an old 7600GT, this is my temp build over the easter weekend, the shop couldn't get my 550W OCZ Fatal1ty PSU, 6850 and Cooler in before the weekend, and the shops don't open again until Wednesday. I'm hoping it'll all be okay, i'm not using any extra fans because of the open case, and only my boot drive, not my new 1TB to save power usage, and to keep the load down.

I plan on getting a 24" LCD as soon as possible.

Ah, makes sense on the temp setup.

Good choice on the lcd size, i think any bigger and it hurts the eyes at close porxiomity-unless the resolution gets higher than 1920x1080.

What i did with my 720 TV during my transition to better monitors, is to manually adjust the screen res and stretch/skew in the driver control panel and used the 46IN 720P tv for watching movies and downloaded content. Not too bad of a scenario if it fits and you only buying 1 24IN LCD.

IF the Pins are bent, use a credit card to line the pins back up.

BTW, putting your videocard down on shag carpet isnt a very good idea, especially with teh PCB side on the carpet....Electro Static Discharge!

yeah i know, i'm gonna get my dad to help when he get's home. The videocard was only on the carpet for the photo, it looked nice :)

Do you think i should mount the PSU upside down to allow it to suck air, there is no ventilation on the bottom of my case.

Looks amazing. I just finished my first build 3 days ago ;)
Can you please tell me what case you have  I couldn't find it anywhere in your text (maybe I'm just stupid :D)
