$660 or so (after OS) is a pretty nice computer, but 3GB/4GB won't even be fully used unless you're a CADD person or close. If you want 4GB of memory, I suggest stepping up to the Quads or 45nms... 2GB is enough for these days.

If you have 64-bit, 4GB is highly advised. 2GB is fine for normal use, but you don't need a Quad or 45nm or running CAD to benefit from 4GB...the more the better with Vista or any OS for that matter.

The only reason to get 4GB is 3.25GB+ of memory

4GB? You'll have a hard time filling 2GB! Running Vista Ultimate x64 and BF2, I only use around 1.25GB. And anyways, before you use up all that memory, your CPU would probably bottleneck you from using it all.

That's BF2 isn't it? May not be the same with COD4 or Crysis...
