I did have a whole list made up at Newegg but I managed to delete it so we will try this another way. If all you did was play CS1.6 and CS:S and maybe some other first person shooters with a racing game or two in there watched youtube and went on forums, had $1,000.00 to spend, what would you build? This is what I put together but still need a GPU. Any ideas?

It would be nice to know how much it cost so we can choose a gpu and revise within your 1000 budget.

Edit: Can't use 3 sticks of RAM on a dual channel Mobo I don't think. Let me make a build for you.

For a gpu you could go with an gtx260 or and ati 4800 series card.
If you plan on playing any super high end games maybe an gtx275-285.
And that power supply is overkill.

You could just look at the build i made him.
Edit: good find i'll add it into the build

PSU - No need for 1000W. 750W would run dual video card.

Mobo - if you are going to crossfire, go for 790FX instead. SLi with 980a

RAM - you'd need 2 x 2GB instead of 3 x 2GB

Video card - ATI 4890/ GTX 275

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black is better

Now I am not sure about my next question but is the AMD vs Intel CPU argument. Is this one of those Ford vs Chevy things or is one Really better for me than the other?

Performance wise - Intel Corei7 > AMD Phenom II ~ C2Q/ C2D. However, since intel will stop LGA 775 soon, so either intl Core i7 or AMD Phenom II.
