Is everything compatible? Any suggestions on parts?

Video card says:
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amps.)

My PS has:
+3.3V@17A, +5V@25A, +12V1@16A, +12V2@18A, [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

Is this OK? Can anyone link me to somewhere explaining this current rating system?

That powersupply is not enough to run that system. You need something along the lines of this:

While it is more expensive, you pay for quality! The PSU is the lifeblood of your computer. You don't want your computer blowing up do you!?

Also, if you are only getting 2GB of memory i would recommend a 2x1GB kit so you get dual channel. dual channel memory means you have more bandwidth which affects your performace greatly.

4GB of memory is something i would highly recommend, it's almost a standard.

Can you specify why the PS is insufficient? The wattage is enough by any of standard calculators.

Using 2x1 GB would make upgrading much more expensive and dual channel only offers at best 5% performance increase over single channel. [1]

It's not just wattage. It's a shitty brand and is rated at peak usage, not continuous which is useless. the 12v rails are measly, it has 25amps on the 5v rail where today's computers needed 10a at maximum. The efficiency is mediocre (<70%)

I'm not a PSU expert but i can sort the good from the bad. bomberboysk or bigfellla can explain things in detail.
 
Most thermaltakes (except the toughpower series) are just rebranded HEC units which should be avoided if possible... even though i have one...

This GTX 465 seemed cheaper than any of the 1 GB GTX 460's.
