Hi guy's. this is my very first build and i would like some advice on the parts i will be fitting into this machine and any other advice will be welcome. Case-Cooler Master HAF 932. CPU - i7 2600k. MOBO- ASUS p8p67 Pro. MEMORY - 8GB Corsair Vengence DDR3. Video Card-Ati Radeon HD6870. Psu-Cooler Master GX750w.SSD Corsair Force Series 3. HDD-Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB. Samsung Cd/Dvd Burner. Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit. this system will be mainly for gaming. what are your thoughts on this.

yeh the evga looks like a much better gpu than the ati radeon, GTX 570 looks like the one to get and i will also go with the i5 not the i7 over kill thanks.

i'd post in the gpu section to see about it since there are no revs or anything just to be safe, both are fine but i don't want to get you screwed if it's a bad card or something, idk, i just wish i had a system like this, or one that could use that card.

well than ones a decent bit more, and i looked at some benches showing the gtx 560 ti beating the 6950 in most cases, especially at higher reses, and the 570 would dominate it, or at least beat, and found it in normal listing and it's recertifide is why it's so cheap, but still good deal and i think they check for working or not so yeah, and the original version, new one, isn't there any more so idk how it was

one other thing guy's since this is my first build i have no problem fitting all parts into the case im ok with that but as im going with the asus p8p67 pro B3 i need a complete full tutorial on connecting all cables and leads to the motherboard so i dont screw anything up as im not sure with this is there some where on this forum that can instruct me on how to do this. i need to know where every plug and lead goes.

should have a manual and online vids on youtube and there's a tutorial with pics somewhere on here, but i did it my first time with no knowledge at all just guessing, all it takes is some common sense really, just what wire fits where.

Omega Posted up a good thread about putting it all together. It lays it out really clearly.

What Benches were you looking at? The ones that I looked up on Guru3D were the opposite and even had it loosing to a 6870 a 2650x1600. I know that it is a system by system basis but I can tell you (at least in my case) the 6950 performs better than what the benches showed. In BFBC2 for example I hold steady at 70+.

With that being said the 560, 570, 6950 are all good cards. The OP should be happy with any of them.

maybe i had it backwards, it was like 1am and i had done yard work and stuff in the day so i was pretty tired
